

My Story
At Pilates Lift Lab, we believe movement should be energizing, empowering, and accessible to everyone. Founded by Julie Hafize, a fitness professional with over 15 years of international experience across North America and Australia, my studio blends expertise with passion to create a welcoming space for all ages and abilities.
Julie’s passion for fitness and wellbeing is deeply rooted in her childhood as a figure skater, skier, and runner. That love of movement only grew stronger during her 17 years living in Australia-an epicentre for innovative approaches to health and fitness-where she embraced every opportunity to explore new ways of staying active.
While her drive sometimes pushed her body to its limits, resulting in a few injuries over time, those experiences led Julie to discover the restorative and strengthening power of Reformer Pilates and swimming as a side note. Both became cornerstones of her wellness journey, helping her find balance, resilience, and a lifelong appreciation for moving with purpose.
Julie is a certified Personal Trainer and Pilates instructor through Fitness Institute of Australia and Studio Pilates Australia. Her approach is rooted in tailoring every class to the unique needs, goals, and capabilities of her clients-ensuring that each session feels purposeful, safe, and rewarding.
The framework of our classes emphasizes enjoyment, strength, and achievement. You’ll leave each session feeling challenged, accomplished, and proud of the progress you’ve made, without being pushed beyond what your body is ready for.
Julie believes that, along with Pilates, strength training plays a vital role in building muscle, improving body composition, and supporting long-term health. Pilates Lift Lab focuses not only on core strength, functional movement and balance but also on helping clients feel strong and confident in their bodies.
Whether you’re new to Pilates, returning after an injury, or looking to deepen your practice, my mission is to help you move well, feel strong, and live fully.
