Accessibility Plan – Pilates Lift Lab

Our Commitment

Pilates Lift Lab is committed to creating an inclusive, welcoming, and accessible environment for all clients. We believe that fitness and wellness should be available to every body, regardless of age, ability, or background.

1. Physical Accessibility

Our studio is a home-based micro-studio in South Surrey/White Rock. While space is limited, we strive to make it as welcoming and adaptable as possible. Entrance and studio areas are at ground level, with minimal barriers. Please contact us in advance if you have mobility needs so we can prepare the space. Assistance with equipment setup (reformers, props, weights) is always available.

2. Program & Instruction Accessibility

Individualized Support: Instructors offer modifications and alternative movements so all clients can participate at their own pace.

Visual & Verbal Cues: Instructions are provided using multiple methods (demonstration, verbal explanation, tactile cues with consent).

Flexible Options: Clients may choose between group, semi-private, or private sessions depending on comfort and support needs.

Breaks & Pacing: Rest breaks are encouraged at any time. Sessions can be adjusted for energy, pain management, or recovery.

3. Communication Accessibility

Class instructions are delivered clearly and can be supported with written or visual guides where helpful. We welcome the use of assistive  communication devices or interpreters. Clients are encouraged to share communication preferences in advance (e.g., visual prompts, slower pacing, repetition).

4. Financial Accessibility

  • No locked-in contracts – clients pay for packages or drop-in classes with flexibility.

  • Introductory specials are available for new clients.

  • We are open to discussing special circumstances if cost is a barrier.

5. Ongoing Improvements

  • We welcome feedback from clients to improve accessibility.

  • Suggestions for changes in studio layout, instruction, or communication will be reviewed and implemented where possible.

  • We are committed to continuous learning about inclusive practices in fitness and wellness.
